Haik Kazazyan Tour in Russia, concert in Saratov

25-09-2019+АСО+КАЗАЗЯН,+КИРХГОФФ (1)Between 3 April and late 2019, world-famous violinist Haik Kazazyan will tour Russia. The tour is organised by the European Foundation for Support of Culture and the Association for Support of Cultural Initiatives.

Haik Kazazyan was born in 1982 in Yerevan (Armenia). He studied at the Sayat-Nova Yerevan Music School. In 1996, he moved to Moscow, where he continued his studies at the Gnesin Moscow Music College, the Moscow Conservatory and graduate school. In 2006–2008, he interned at the Royal College of Music (London). Since 2008, he has been teaching violin at the Moscow Conservatory.

He is a winner of many international competitions, including the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow (in 2002 and 2015), the Kloster Schöntal Competition (Germany), the Yampolsky Competition (Russia), the Wieniawski Competition in Poznan (Poland), the competition in Sion (Switzerland), the Long-Thibaud Competition in Paris (France), the Enescu Competition in Bucharest (Romania) and the Competition in Tongyeong (South Korea).

Today, Haik Kazazyan performs at the most famous concert venues around the world with the support of such orchestras as the National Orchestra of France, the Russian National Orchestra, the Irish National Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and many others. Haik Kazazyan’s concerts are broadcast by the Kultura channel (Russia), Mezzo, Brussels TV, the BBC and Orpheus (Russia) radio stations. In 2010, the Delos label released the violinist’s solo album entitled “Opera Fantasies.”

On 3 April, the tour will open with an inaugural concert at the Druzhba Concert Hall (Bryansk); the concert will also feature the Bryansk Gubernatorial Symphony Orchestra. Then the musician will perform at the Schnittke Saratov Regional Philharmonic together with the Saratov Symphony Orchestra and at the Karelia State Philharmonic (Petrozavodsk) together with the Karelia Symphony Orchestra. The orchestras will be conducted by maestro Mikhail Kirchhoff, chief guest conductor of the Kazakhstan State Symphony Orchestra “Academy of Soloists”.

The tour programme will feature works by famous Maltese and other European composers.
