The European Foundation for Support of Culture and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra present the 9th Malta International Music Festival on 26 April – 10 May in Valletta, the capital of the Republic of Malta.
The Festival will feature concerts by Daniel Lozakovich (Sweden), Marcelline Agius (Malta),Philipp Kopachevskiy (Russia), Tatiana Lisnic (Moldova/Malta), Haik Kazazyan (Russia), Antonio Tinelli and Giuliano Mazzoccante (Italy) - Duet, Trio Klavis (Austria), Ekaterina Mechetina (Russia), Boris Allakhverdian (USA), Victor Julien-Laferrière (France), Sergei Dogadin (Russia), Dmitry Alexeev (UK), Boris Andrianov (Russia),Veronika Dzhioeva (Russia - Czechia) and others.
The renowned soloists will perform with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and the La Primavera Chamber Orchestra (Tatarstan/Russia) . The orchestras will be conducted by the eminent Italian opera and symphony conductor Gianluca Marciano; Sergey Smbatyan, Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia, artistic director of Armenia’s State Symphony Orchestra; Dmitry Yablonsky (US/Israel), principal guest conductor of the Novaya Rossiya State Symphony Orchestraand of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra; Miran Vaupotić, principal conductor of the Croatia Chamber Orchestra and one of international ambassadors for the EMMA for Peace (Euro Mediterranean Music Academy) under the patronage of UNESCO; Rustem Abyazov, creator, permanent artistic director and chief conductor of the La Primavera Chamber Orchestra (Tatarstan/Russia); Michael Zukernik, founder and music director of Philharmonisches Kammerorchester Berlin (Switzerland); Jaroslav Kyzlink, chief conductor of the Slovenian National Theatre in Ljubljana and music director of the National Theatre Opera in Prague (Czechia) and others.
The Festival will feature works by famous Maltese composers Joseph Vella, Albert Garcia, Charles Camilleri and Alexey Shor, the Festival’s resident composer.
The Festival’s concerts will be held at Malta’s best historic halls: the Mediterranean Conference Centre (Valletta) and the Robert Samut Hall (Floriana).
