From 24 to 28 September, the European Foundation for Support of Culture, in cooperation with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, will present the Armenia Music Festival 2020, which will be held in the Armenian capital Yerevan for the third time.
The Festival will feature concerts by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra at Erevan’s best music halls, including the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.
The performances will be conducted by Sergey Smbatyan, Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia, Artistic Director of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, who will also be the Festival’s Art Director.
The Festival’s soloists will be the brightest stars of the classic music world: winner of the Queen Elizabeth competition Denis Kozhukhin (Belgium); British pianist and conductor Frederic Kempf, winner of the prestigious Classical BRIT Awards, Honorary Doctor of Music at Kent University (Great Britain), winner and award recipient of many international competitions, including the Tchaikovsky International Competition; clarinetist Andreas Ottensamer – soloist of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra (Austria); violinist Zia Hyunsu Shin (South Korea), winner of the Long–Thibaud–Crespin Competition and laureate of the Queen Elizabeth competition; cellist Zlatomir Feng(US), winner of the Tchaikovsky International Competition and many others.
The festival programme will consist of works by distinguished Armenian, Maltese and other composers.
