Comprising two weeks of non-stop masterclasses, lectures and seminars, the Malta Classical Music Academy (MCMA) shall be offering courses in the schools of voice, violin and piano, with the majority of the masterclasses scheduled to take place at the Valletta Campus of the University of Malta.

A host of celebrated pedagogues and musicians from all over the world will be travelling to Malta to lead these courses, with students being given the opportunity to gain a glimpse into the minds of these masters, and further their own musical education thanks to the intense but rewarding format of the masterclass.

Additionally, the MCMA will also be incorporating a number of daytime concerts throughout its run, enabling Academy attendees to supplement their studies in the classroom by experiencing award-winning and renowned musicians in action in intimate concerts alongside an international symphony orchestra. Some of these concerts shall also form part of the EUFSC’s Young Classical Music Stars programme, which sees young prodigies from various countries around the world delivering concerts in accompaniment with a full orchestra.

Moreover, in what is fast becoming the standout feature of the EUFSC’s music academies, the series of lunchtime concerts shall once again see select MCMA students presented with the once-in-a-lifetime chance to join an orchestra on stage in live performance, thereby providing them with an experience which is impossible to reproduce in a classroom setting, yet absolutely indispensable for any budding musician.

The MCMA itself shall also be running alongside the EUFSC’s Malta International Music Festival, with the two events promising to turn the country into a veritable cornucopia of classical music.
