European Foundation for Support of Culture sponsors the concert of a cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan which will be held on the 11th of November 2016 at the Teatru Manoel. The event is organized by Malta Philharmonic Orchestra.
We are delighted to welcome Narek Hakhnazaryan to Malta to perform Dvorak’s Cello Concerto under the direction of acclaimed conductor Michalis Economou.
The conductor’s own composition “Di-ichon”, which follows, was re-arranged especially for this concert and is inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
The evening will finish with Elgar’s Enigma Variations, a set of musical sketches inspired by the personalities of some of the composer’s closest friends including his wife and even himself.
