Bulgaria is among the youngest member-states of EU. As part of the project “Valletta – the European Capital of Culture for 2018”, the European Foundation for Support of Culture, assisted by the Consulate of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Cultural Centre in Malta, decided to hold “Days of Bulgarian Culture” to display how varied and multifaceted the culture of this European nation is. In the hall of the Cathedral Museum of Mdina, the ancient capital of Malta, a series of concerts will take place at which Bulgarian artists – pianist Donka Angachev and soprano Andriana Yordanova, will perform. The programme will include works of known Bulgarian composers Parashkev Hadjiev and Dobri Hristov, with works of other famous European composers. Master classes for young musicians will also be held during the “Days of Bulgarian Culture” in Malta.
