From 29 September to 6 October 2020, according to tradition, the European Foundation for Support of Culture, in cooperation with the Kazakh National University of Arts, will hold the Eurasian Stars International Music Festival in Almaty, capital of Kazakhstan, whose fame has crossed national borders, making it a worthy participant in the modern world’s “Club of Capitals”.
The Eurasian Stars programme will include concerts by world-famous stars of classical music, master classes by leading professors of vocal performance, piano, and violin, contests for talented young musicians in different disciplines. The Art Director of the Festival will be maestro Mikhail Kirchhoff, chief guest conductor of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
Young musicians from all over the world will come to Almaty to take part in the competitions and attend master classes given by renowned professors. The main purpose of the contest is to identify and support gifted creative young people, to educate and shape moral values, to strengthen the common cultural space of the countries, to preserve and develop the cultural potential of the participants, to create conditions for creative self-realization, disclosure, and growth of the creative potential of children and young people.
Concerts within the framework of the event will take place at the best music halls of Almaty accompanied by such celebrated orchestras as the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chamber orchestra "Camerata-Kazakhstan" and Student Symphony Orchestra of the Kazakh National Kurmangazy Conservatory. Soloists of the project: Sergei Dogadin (violin), Anna Aglatova (soprano), Haik Kazazyan (violin), Shakhimardan Abilov, Boris Allakhverdyan (clarinet), Philipp Kopachevsky (piano) and many others. and many others.
The festival programme will include works by renowned Maltese and other European composers, as well as works of Kazakh composers.
