POSTPONED: InClassica Malta International Music Festival

The European Foundation for Support of Culture and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra will host the ‘InClassica’ Malta International Music Festival together with the ‘ClassicPiano’ Malta International Piano Competition from 17 April to 11 May 2021 in Valletta, the capital of Malta. For the first time in the Republic, the audience will be amazed by the 25 consecutive days of fantastic concerts! 

InClassica в ПосольстваThe Festival will feature performances by internationally acclaimed artists from 24 countries such as

- triple Grammy Award winner, pianist Martha Argerich;

- ECHO Klassik Award winner, Gold Medal of Salzburg and Vienna recipient, pianist  Rudolf Buchbinder;

-  legendary pianist Grigory Sokolov;

- "Prix d'Amis", ECHO Klassik Award, Orphee d'or winner soprano Danielle de Niese;

- 7 times ECHO Klassik Award winner violinist Daniel Hope;

- Leonard Bernstein Award winner, WEMAG-Soloist prizewinner, holder of the ‘Beethoven Ring’ pianist Kit Armstrong;

-  Grammy Award, twice Gramophone Classical Music Award, Classic Brit Award and 5 times Edison Classical Music Award winner Maxim Vengerov;

-winner of the prestigious Classical BRIT Award pianist Frederic Kempf;

- clarinet soloist at the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra Andreas Ottensamer;

- winner of the Tchaikovsky International Competition, famous pianist Denis Matsuev;

- Grammy Award and International Tchaikovsky Competition winner, violinist Gidon Kremer, and many others.

During the ‘InClassica’ renowned soloists will perform with the top 7 Orchestras, such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (UK); Liège Royal Philharmonic (Belgium); State Philharmonic Orchestra of Rhineland-Palatinate (Germany); Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra (Israel), Armenian State Symphony Orchestra; Russian National Orchestra and the Malta Youth Orchestra under the batons of prominent conductors.

The Festival’s concerts will be held at Malta’s best historic hall - the Mediterranean Conference Centre (Valletta).

The ‘ClassicPiano’ Competition 2021 will be held within the Festival as the final round of the “14 ways to Malta” world competition series that takes place in 2019-2020 in Germany (Hamburg and Berlin), Austria, USA, China, Israel, Japan, Armenia, Russia, UK, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, and South Korea. The ‘ClassicPiano’ winner will be awarded with an unprecedented prize. The jury board will include world-acclaimed pianists, composers, and conductors.  

The InClassica’ and ClassicPiano 2021 will be highlighted by world media giants such as, Mezzo TV, BBC, Euronews, RAI (Italy), New York Times, Classic FM and other international media representatives.
