2018 is the year of the 145th anniversary of the birth of the world-renowned composer Sergei Rachmaninoff.
In this regard, the European
Foundation for Support of Culture
together with the European Centre
for the Arts (Germany), proposed to
organize a concert series in Germany
to mark this memorable occasion.
Sergei Rachmaninoff is a great composer
who also made his name famous as an
incomparable pianist and conductor.
In his works, Rachmaninoff created
a distinctive style of his own; a true
marvel of classical music!
Concerts featuring famous European
musicians such as Giuliano Mazzoccante
(Italy), Donka Angacheva (Austria/
Bulgaria), and Vladimir Ovchinnikov
(Russia), will be held in the most
prestigious concert halls of Germany –
Studia Dumont (Cologne), Beethoven-
Haus (Bonn) and Robert-Schumann-
Saal (Dusseldorf). Some concerts are
also planned to be held in the embassies
and consulates of European nations in
Germany.
