Malta Philharmonic Orchestra Tour in Moscow (Russia), concert with Ray Chen

Ray-Chen_Credit-Tom-Doms3The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra is Malta’s only professional orchestra, being in high demand. It is proud to represent Maltese culture and art at the concert halls around the world.

From 21 to 27 November the tour was held at the best venues in Moscow. On 23 November the MPO  performed in  the Moscow International House of Music. Famous violinist Ray Chen, winner of The Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists and The Queen Elisabeth Competition was the soloist. The musicians were conducted by Sergey Smbatyan, Honored Artist of Armenia.

The Moscow International House of Music (MMDM) was opened in 2002 and became the first and only center of performing arts in Russia. In the three halls of the complex (Svetlanovsky,Kamerny and Teatralniy) concerts and performances, major international forums and creative evenings, presentations and holiday shows, conferences and corporate meetings are held. Today the House of Music is a special place, with its own face, concept, it’s own model of concert activity.
